Private Peru journeys, done right
Peru is three countries in one: a desert coast, the high Andes and the Amazon. It has Machu Picchu, Lake Titicaca, the Nazca Lines and one of the best food scenes on Earth.
It also has altitude, permits that sell out and distances that surprise people. We plan around all three, so you spend your time amazed, not out of breath or out of tickets.

Why travel with us
Your own Peru Specialist
One person plans your trip from first call to flight home. They know which nights to spend lower down, which train to catch, when Inca Trail permits open and where to eat in every town.
Pace
We plan around altitude, distance and permits so the trip feels easy. Sleep lower first, climb in steps, book Machu Picchu and the Inca Trail early, and never spend a whole day in transit when a short flight will do.
Ayni
In the Andes, ayni means reciprocity: what you receive, you give back. Weaving cooperatives and community homestays are paid fairly and directly, and our trek teams' porters are paid, equipped and loaded properly.

Experiences
What do you want to feel in Peru?
Wonder, connection or a good ache in the legs. Most trips mix all three, and the order matters: icons when you're fresh, culture as you slow down, the big trails once your lungs have caught up.

Icons of Peru
The places that made you want to come. We get you there at the right hour, in the right order and at the right altitude, so you can stand in front of them and simply look.

Living Culture
Peru isn't a museum. It's weavers who still dye with cochineal, farmers who grow potatoes their grandparents grew, and cooks who've made Lima a place people fly to for dinner. Spend time with them, on their terms.

Peru Unplugged
Trails, passes, glaciers and rivers. These are the days you'll talk about most, and the ones where good pacing matters most. We'll make sure you're ready before the trail starts climbing.

Five Perus, one trip
From sea level to above 4,000 metres and down into the rainforest. Choose an area to see where it sits, and how high.

The Coast
A long strip of desert between the Andes and the Pacific. Lima's kitchens, sea lions off Paracas, dunes at Huacachina and lines in the Nazca plain that only make sense from the air. It's all near sea level, which makes it the right place to start.

All questionsThe altitude profile
Every night, mapped
Cusco sits at about 3,400 metres. Your lungs will notice before you do. That's why we start lower. Every journey shows where you sleep each night, how high it is and where to take it easy.
- Sleep lower first. The Sacred Valley is about 500 m lower than Cusco.
- Climb in steps. Big passes come after a few nights at altitude.
- Go low to recover. The Amazon and the coast are kind to tired lungs.
- Low 0–1,500 m
- Moderate 1,500–2,500 m
- High 2,500–3,500 m
- Very high 3,500 m+
- Day's high point

Machu Picchu planner
The hardest part, made simple
Machu Picchu tickets come in time slots and sell out. Book the trip, then breathe. Inca Trail permits are limited and sold only through licensed operators, and the trail closes every February. Our planner explains the routes, circuits and timing in plain English.
Open the Machu Picchu plannerHow far ahead should I book?
The Classic Inca Trail is closed in February.
The Inca Trail closes every February for maintenance. Machu Picchu itself stays open: consider the train or the Salkantay trek, or choose another month.
February in the Andes: Wettest month. Inca Trail closed for maintenance. (verify)
